This article shows you how to deallocate and assign a new POS device.
Deallocate a POS device profile
You should only deallocate a device if it's not currently in use. If someone is using the device, it will prevent them from finishing any transactions or processes they are actioning and kick them off.
- From Venue Manager, go to Apps > Point of Sale
- Select Devices.
- Scroll down to the device you want to deallocate.
- In the Allocated column it will let you know who the device is in used by.
- If not in use, select the options menu for the device, then select Deallocate.
Assign a new POS device profile
Once the device has been deallocated, you can then reload your POS page and select another POS device profile to assign to the physical POS device and then launch it.
