Once you've applied for your Braintree account and it's been approved, you will need to follow the steps outlined in this article to integrate your Braintree account with ROLLER before you can start taking online payments.
Creating ROLLER as a Braintree user
In order for ROLLER staff to complete the integration please do the following:
- Login to Braintree
- Click the gear button > click Team
- Click create new user
- Create a user with the following email:
merchants+(insertyourbusinessnamehere)@rollerdigital.com e.g. merchants+ROLLER@rollerdigital.com - Check API Access
- Check Account Admin
- Check All under Merchant Accounts
- Click Create User
Once ROLLER has been added as a user in Braintree, our staff will complete the integration and let you know once online payments are ready to be tested.
Things to remember
- Funds settle directly to the business's bank account
- Braintree will charge you fees per transaction so it's important to set your own fees in ROLLER if you want to pass these charges onto your guests
- Braintree refunds aren't integrated, so you will need to make any refunds directly through the Braintree portal then mark these as refunded in ROLLER - see here for more
