This article explains how to upgrade legacy POS menus to Smart menus.

Identifying legacy POS menus
Notification in POS
- Log in to POS
- Navigate to a POS menu
A notification banner will be displayed at the top of each legacy menu in POS. The notification will inform staff to upgrade the menu.
Notification in Venue Manager
- Log in to Venue Manager
- Navigate to Apps > Point of Sale > Devices
A notification icon "⚠️" will be displayed next to each POS Device that has a legacy POS menu.
Upgrading legacy menus
POS Device
You can upgrade all legacy menus in each POS Device to smart menus at once.
- In Venue Manager, navigate to Apps > Point of Sale > Devices
- Select the POS Device from the list
- Click Upgrade Now
- Click OK to confirm.
If you have multiple POS Devices linked to a POS template, you can upgrade the menus in the POS Template, which will affect all linked POS Devices.
POS Template
- In Venue Manager, navigate to Apps > Point of Sale > Templates
- Select the POS Template from the list
- Click Unlock to make changes
- Click Upgrade Now
- Click OK to confirm.
