This article will walk you through common scenarios for setting up session pass schedules in ROLLER and show you how they can be adapted to any changes in your venue's working hours or capacity.

Different schedules for weekdays, weekends and holidays
Example scenario: You have different opening and closing hours mid-week, on weekends and during school holidays.

Create weekday schedule
- From Venue Manager, go to Schedules.
- Click the name of the schedule you're trying to edit. In this example, it's 1 Hour Admission.
- Click Create Schedule and name it Weekdays.
- Click Add Dates.
- Select the start date, then the end date for the schedule.
- Click Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu and Fri.
- Click Next.
- When the popup appears, pick your 1st session start time, the last session start time and add your session intervals for your weekdays.
- Click Add Sessions.
- Click Save.
Create weekend schedule
- In Schedules, click the name of the schedule you're trying to edit. In this example, it's 1 Hour Admission.
- Click Create Schedule and name it Weekends.
- Click Add Dates.
- Click the start date > then the end date.
- Click Sat and Sun.
- Click Next.
- When the popup appears, pick your 1st session start time, the last session start time and add your session intervals for your weekends.
- Click Add Sessions.
- Click Save.
Create a school holidays schedule
- In Schedules, click the name of the schedule you're trying to edit. In this example, it's 1 Hour Admission.
- Click Weekday Schedule to edit.
- Click the more options menu (3 dots) next to the schedule name > then click Exclude Dates.
- Click Add Dates located below Exclusion dates.
- Click the 1st day and then the last day of your next school holiday period on the calendar.
- Repeat Steps 4 and 5 to exclude your remaining school holiday periods.
- Click Save.
- Click Create Schedule and name it School Holidays.
- Click Add Dates.
- Click the 1st day and then the last day of school holidays on the calendar.
- Click Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu and Fri.
- Repeat Steps 9 and 10 to add your remaining school holiday period.
- Click Next.
- When the popup appears, pick your 1st session start time, the last session start time and add your session intervals for your school holiday periods.
- Click Add Sessions.
- Click Save.
Standalone schedules for one-off events where opening hours change
Example scenario: It's a public holiday this Friday and you want to extend the opening hours so people can purchase tickets for later session times than usual.

- From Venue Manager, go to Schedules.
- Click the name of the schedule you're trying to edit. In this example, it's 1 Hour Admission.
- Click Weekday schedule to edit.
- Click the more options menu (3 dots) next to the schedule name > then click Exclude Dates.
- Click Add Dates located below Exclusion Dates.
- Double-click the public holiday date within the Calendar to select it.
- Repeat Steps 5 and 6 to exclude more public holidays if required.
- Click Save.
- Click Create Schedule and name it Public Holiday (Extended Hours).
- Click Add Dates.
- Double-click the Public holiday date within the Calendar.
- Repeat Steps 10 and 11 to add your remaining public holidays if required.
- Click Next.
- When the popup appears, pick your 1st session start time, the last session start time and add your session intervals for your public holidays.
- Click Add Sessions.
- Click Save.
Schedules with peak / off-peak pricing
Example scenario: Your prices are higher during peak periods. So how do you create peak schedules for weekends and off-peak pricing for weekdays?

Create weekday schedule
- From Venue Manager, go to Schedules.
- Click the name of the schedule you're trying to edit, in this example, it's 1 Hour Admission.
- Click Create Schedule and name it Weekdays.
- Click Add Dates.
- Click the date you want this schedule to start on > then click a secondary date which will be the last day that applies to this schedule.
- Click Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu and Fri.
- Click Next.
- When the popup appears, pick your 1st session start time, the last session start time and add your session intervals for your weekdays.
- Click Tickets and deselect all Peak tickets, so only Off-Peak tickets are left remaining.
- Click Add Sessions.
- Click Save.
Create weekend schedule
- In Schedules, click the name of the schedule you're trying to edit. In this example, it's 1 Hour Admission.
- Click Create Schedule and name it Weekends.
- Click Add Dates.
- Click the date you want this schedule to start on > then click a secondary date which will be the last day that applies to this schedule.
- Click Sat and Sun.
- Click Next.
- When the popup appears, pick your 1st session start time, the last session start time and add your session intervals for your weekends.
- Click Tickets and deselect all Off-Peak tickets, so only Peak tickets are left remaining
- Click Add Sessions.
- Click Save.
Schedules with staggered capacity for entry
Example scenario: Your venue fits 200 people. You are creating a schedule for a 1-hour session product. However, you don't want them all to arrive at 10 am. You want 50 people to arrive at 10 am, 50 people to arrive at 10:15 am, 50 people to arrive at 10:30 am and 50 people to arrive at 10:45 am.

Create weekday schedule
- From Venue Manager, go to Schedules.
- Click the name of the schedule you're trying to edit. In this example, it's 1 Hour Admission.
- Click Create Schedule and name it Staggered Entry - All Week.
- Click Add Dates.
- Select the start date > then select the end date.
- Click Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat and Sun.
- Click Next.
- When the popup appears, pick your 1st session start time, the last session start time and add your session intervals as 1 hour.
- Click the Resource tab. Make sure that only "Park Capacity 0-15 minute entry" resource is selected and nothing else.
- Click Add Sessions.
- Click the more options menu (3 dots) next to the schedule name > then click Add sessions.
- When the Add Sessions popup appears select your 1st session time 15 minutes after your previous 1st session start time and add a last session start time 15 minutes after your previous last session start time and add your session intervals as 1 hour.
- Click Resource > ensure only "Park Capacity 15-30 minute entry" resource is selected and nothing else.
- Click Add Sessions.
- Click the more options menu (3 dots) next to the schedule name > then click Add sessions.
- When the Add Sessions popup appears select your 1st session time 15 minutes after your previous 1st session start time and add a last session start time 15 minutes after your previous last session start time and add your session intervals as 1 hour.
- Click Resource > make sure that only "Park Capacity 30-45 minute entry" resource is selected and nothing else.
- Click Add Sessions.
- Click the more options menu (3 dots) next to the schedule name > then click Add sessions.
- When the Add Sessions popup appears select your 1st session time 15 minutes after your previous 1st session start time and add a last session start time 15 minutes after your previous last session start time and add your session intervals as 1 hour.
- Click Resource > make sure that only "Park Capacity 45-60 minute entry" resource is selected and nothing else.
- Click Add Sessions.
- Review your last 4 sessions and remove any unwanted sessions to ensure your last session finishes at the right time. You can click the bin icon to remove any unwanted session times.
- Click Save.
Copy an existing schedule
Example scenario: You have a 1-hour session pass that has the same schedule as your 2-hour session. Can you copy schedules without having to create them from scratch?

Add a new session to an existing schedule
Example scenario: You've decided to open up a little earlier during the week. You want to add 1 more session 1 hour before your current first session time.
- In Venue Manager, navigate to Schedules.
- Click the name of the schedule you're trying to edit.Iin this example, it's 1 Hour Admission.
- Click the schedule that you would like to make the changes to.
- Click the more options menu (3 dots) next to the schedule name > then click Add Sessions.
- Edit the session start time so it is 1 hour before the current first session start time.
- Click Add Sessions.
- Click Save.
