In this article, you will learn how to integrate a Moneris iCT250 card terminal with ROLLER POS.
Required hardware
- Moneris iCT250 card terminal
- Power cable, adaptor & magic box
- POS admin card
- Paper roll
- Ethernet cord

Integrating your Moneris iCT250 with ROLLER POS
- Step 1 - Reinitialize the terminal (if required)
- Step 2 - Set to integrated mode
- Step 3 - Identify the IP Address
- Step 4 - Set IP address to static
- Step 5 - Set port number to "1234"
- Step 6 - Configure ROLLER Connect
- Step 7 - Test a card transaction at POS
Step 1 - Reinitialize the terminal (if required)
If the card terminal screen does not state REINITIALIZATION REQUIRED, skip to Step 2
If the card terminal screen states REINITIALIZATION REQUIRED, follow the steps below:
- Press #
- Enter Configuration
- Enter Initialisation
- Swipe the Admin Card
- Press OK/Enter
- Press OK/Enter a second time.
Step 2 - Set to integrated mode
If the home screen says Welcome/Bonjour, it is already in the integrated mode, so proceed to Step 3. If not, follow the steps below:
- Go back to the start by pressing Back several times
- Press # twice (slowly)
- Press 5 > Press 3
- Select RCPTS AT ECR
- When the screen says REINITIALIZATION REQUIRED:
- Press #
- Enter Configuration
- Enter Initialisation
- Swipe the Admin Card
- Press Enter
- Press Enter again.
Step 3 - Identify the IP Address
- Press # > # > 16 > Okay
- Print Trailer Message? Yes
- Print out Ethernet Parms - Keep this print out as we'll need to enter the IP Address later.
Step 4 - Set IP address to static
- Press # > # > 13 > press Okay (Green)
- Terminal Setup > press Okay (Green)
- Terminal Type - Static > press Okay (Green)
- Terminal Address - Input the IP address you printed out during Step 3 - Identify the IP Address
In order to replicate the . in your IP address, use 0 > then # - Mask ID > press Okay (Green) > Enter the address from the Step 3 - Identify the IP Address print out
- Gateway > enter Gateway from Step 3 - Identify the IP Address printout
- Press the Red cancel button
- Reboot.
Step 5 - Set port number to "1234"
- Press # > Press # > Press 5 > Press 2 > press Okay (Green)
- Select Ethernet instead of RS232
- Configure all settings in the menus that follow, which includes selecting Static IP, entering the IP information, Port etc
- After this, you should see 3 Green Boxes on the top of the terminal window to confirm it has an active Ethernet connection.
Step 6 - Configure ROLLER Connect
If you haven't already, download & install ROLLER Connect
Open the ROLLER Connect text file
For ROLLER Connect Windows Service, open C:\ProgramData\ROLLER\rc.toml using a text editor (ie Notepad) and a Windows account with administrator privileges.
For ROLLER Connect Legacy, open the task tray and right-click on the ROLLER Connect menu item > Click Edit Settings ...
Update the ROLLER Connect text file
Make the following updates to the file:
- Change Terminal type = "Moneris"
- Enter the TerminalIPAddress
This information can be found on the printout from Step 3 - Identify the IP Address
Do not copy the example used in the above screenshot. Use the information found on the printout from Step 3 - Identify the IP Address. - Click File > Save
Step 7 - Test a card transaction on POS
