This article provides examples on how you can use our session pass product type to:
- Create ticket types for your party products for group or per person pricing.
- Split your party guest time between different resources (areas) in your venue.
How do I offer party group pricing and pricing for additional guests?
Example scenario
I have a party offering which is $250 and includes tickets for 8 people. But, I want to be able to add additional guests on a per person basis if my guests want more than the included amount of guests.
How to set up
Create a session pass
- From Venue Manager, go to Products > Create product > Session pass.
- Fill in the following product details:
Name |
The name of your party product. This field is mandatory. |
Short description | This description is shown in the online checkout. |
Full description | This description is shown in the online checkout |
Terms and conditions | These are shown in the online checkout and email confirmations. |
Add a thumbnail image | This is shown in the online checkout and POS. |
Reporting category |
Select from your predefined reporting categories. |

Set the duration of the session.
- You must include a session duration to add your ticket types and save your session product.
- Once the product is published, the duration cannot be adjusted.

Select all resources that apply to this product.
- This pre-selection will allow you to set up the resources in the ticket types section below.

It is not possible to create a session pass and its schedule correctly without a resource.
Create a ticket type
Click to edit the placeholder ticket type (General Admission). Update and complete the following details:
- Name - enter the party ticket type name
- Price - the cost for the party
- Configure the resources within the ticket type - overall capacity and party rooms
- Advanced ticket details - set the Group ticket amount
The group ticket amount is the number of tickets that are included when a guest buys one party product.
In this scenario, enter 8 in the Group ticket field to include 8 party guests:
Create a second ticket type
Click Add ticket type. Complete the following details:
- Name - enter the additional guests ticket type name
- Price - cost per person for any additional guests
- Advanced ticket details - use the maximum purchase limit to set if guests can only add 10 additional tickets (on top of the 8 included in the package). ROLLER also limits the number of tickets available based on the resource capacity.

How do I set up per person pricing with a minimum purchase amount?
Example scenario
My party product is based on a per person cost. However, guests must purchase a minimum of 8 tickets.
How to set up
Create a ticket type
Click to edit the existing ticket type (General Admission). Update and complete the following details:
- Name - enter the party ticket type name
- Price - the per person cost for the party
- Configure the resources within the ticket type - overall capacity and party rooms
- Advanced ticket details - set the minimum purchase limit to 8.
When a guest adds the item to their cart, ROLLER automatically adds 8 x $30 tickets.
The guest can then continue to add more if they have a larger party size.
You can also set a maximum purchase limit; however, ROLLER also limits the number of tickets available based on the resource capacity.
How do I split guest time between different areas in my venue?
For your party session pass products that take place across different resources, and require set timing to be applied to those resources, you can set up the resource settings for the ticket type as below.
