Manage product permissions so you can lock down the ability of your venues to edit certain areas within a product. This will help improve consistency, compliance and efficiency across your venues.

Set product permissions
You can set and manage which venues have access to editing specific product attributes from your HQ account.
From your HQ Venue Manager, navigate to Venues > Product permissions
From this page, you can see all the managed venues linked to your HQ venue, as well as the editable product attributes within the managed venues that have the potential to be locked down.
If a product attribute is ticked, then that means it is editable within the associated managed venue.
If a product attribute isn’t appearing within this list, then it cannot be locked down within a managed account.
To enable editing of a product attribute by a venue, select the relevant product attribute.
To disable editing of a product attribute, deselect it.

Why are product permissions important?
The goal of many HQ venues is to maintain consistency across all their managed venues. Product permissions allow HQ users to do this by locking down the ability to edit certain product attributes.
What does this look like when editing HQ products from a managed venue?
If a product is locked down within a HQ venue, then it will appear grayed out & uneditable within the managed venue.
See below for an example of how it will look when the Description product attribute is no longer editable.
