Here, you'll learn how to sell, balance check and top up cashless cards in ROLLER POS.
To sell cashless cards in POS, you must first:
Sell a new cashless card
- From POS, select the cashless card menu (eg Intercard).
- Select the type of cashless item the guest wants to purchase.
- Scan or enter the card ID number.
- Click Continue.
If you're selling a custom amount, you'll be prompted to enter a cash amount before proceeding. - The cashless card details appear at the top of the cart.
Click Add guest to add the guest details so that you can easily find the card if a guest forgets their card ID or loses their card. - Click Pay total.
- Complete the transaction in POS.
Follow steps above to assign a physical card to cashless items purchased online or via Venue Manager.
Top up existing balances
- From POS, select the cashless card menu.
- Select the top up amount the guest wants to buy.
- Scan or enter the card ID number of the existing cashless card.
- Click Continue.
If you're topping up with a custom amount, you'll be prompted to enter a cash amount before proceeding. - Existing balances appear at the top of the cart. The existing balances shown are the amounts before the top-up value is added.
For cash amounts, existing bonus cash appears in brackets, for example, $19.00 ($13.50). If a card has no existing balances, a label indicates the card has no value. - Click Pay total.
- Complete the transaction in POS.
Check balances
- From POS, select Search.
- Select the Cards tab.
- Scan or enter the card ID number.
- Select the card ID in the search results.
The guest's name will appear with the card ID if the name was entered at the time of purchase. - The existing balances appear.
For cash amounts, any bonus cash appears in brackets, for example, $19.00 ($13.50). If a card has no existing balances, a label indicates the card has no value.
Sell other products from ROLLER
Guests can use the cash balance value on their cards to redeem other products available in ROLLER POS, not the bonus cash. Purchases could be for food and beverage or tickets.
- From POS, add the items the guest wants to purchase to the cart.
- When all items have been added to the cart, click Continue.
- Go to the payment page.
- Select Cashless card as your payment method.
- Scan or enter the cashless card's ID number.
- Click Tender.
- Click Pay.
You can refund cashless items purchased in ROLLER via Venue Manager; however these refunds are not communicated to the Intercard system. If you refund a card, it's recommended to take the card from the guest and reset the balance on the Intercard system.
