Coming up this month, we have some exciting new features and enhancements to help you increase revenue at checkout, reduce notification overload for you and your staff and prevent duplicate waivers for minors.
Read on to find out more!
Upsell any product type at checkout
Plan: Available on all ROLLER plans. Learn more
Now more than ever, venues are looking to increase their average order value (AOV) at checkout. With this update, you'll now have the option to include any product type as an add-on (excluding party packages) when using progressive checkouts. For example:
- When a guest purchases a 30-minute laser tag session, you can now upsell a session-based gun upgrade.
- Alternatively, if you have other activities on either side of the guest’s 60-minute jump, those activity sessions can be upsold at the checkout!
These checkout upsells will increase the average value of each guests’ shopping cart, meaning an increase in online checkout revenue for your venue!
What's changed?
When configuring products in Venue Manager and you select your product add-ons, you can now choose any product to upsell, meaning you're no longer limited to specific add-on products or stock.

Streamline notifications in the activity center
Plan: Available on all ROLLER plans. Learn more
Reduce notification overload, improve staff engagement and save time with notification control in the activity center.
Choose which staff roles get notified of different types of notifications in the activity center, set new inquiry notifications to be received by email and/or the activity center, and adjust the timing for tentative booking cancellation alerts to show up in the activity center.
What's changed?
- We’ve added a new section in Venue Manager: Settings > Notifications.
- From there, you can easily manage activity center notification settings for new inquiries, new guest messages, and tentative booking cancellations.
- Activity center notifications are automatically turned on for all staff roles. You can decide who gets notified by selecting system and/or custom roles.
- Configure new inquiries to be sent via email to venue contacts and/or booking notifications/inquiry email (configured in venue settings). What’s been set up here in venue settings is the default.
- Adjust your notice period for tentative booking cancellations (default: 24 hours).

Customize payment link & booking cancelation emails
Plan: These emails are automatically sent to guests on all plans. Customization is exclusive to Pro plans or higher. Learn more
We've introduced customizable email templates for payment link and canceled tentative bookings. Now, you can customize the wording and tone to match your brand, just like other guest-facing emails. You’ll also be able to translate them into other languages.
What's changed?
We've also made some changes to increase the conversion rate of your payment link emails. How? We've included an Order section to show the guest exactly what they are paying for, providing better context and credibility, and a Security note to reassure guests that their data is secure.
You can find these new templates in Venue Manager under Settings > Design > Email templates.
