Maximize your venue's efficiency and capacity with bulk schedule updates using operating hours. Set and update your daily opening times, including temporary hours, in Venue Manager, then link them to your product schedules for auto-generated session times. Any changes to operating hours will automatically update all connected schedules.
This guide helps you get started with creating schedules using operating hours.
How it works
- From Venue Manager, set your operating hours for each weekday and add any temporary hours, such as extended hours during school holidays.
- Link your product schedules' start and end times to your opening and closing times to automatically create sessions within those timeframes.
- Need to change operating hours? Update them from one place in Venue Manager, and all linked product schedules will automatically adjust.
- Set a maximum future booking window that automatically extends for each schedule daily, eliminating the need for manual schedule extensions.
- And you'll still have the option to create fully customized schedules with unique session times, ticket types and resources.
Get started
How you get started depends on whether you’re a new customer or existing customer.
From Venue Manager, go to Products > Schedules and you'll be required to set up your operating hours before you can set up any product schedules.
As an existing customer, you have the flexibility to set up operating hours at your convenience.
Importantly, the new operating hours feature does not disrupt current schedules. You'll need to recreate your existing schedules to take advantage of operating hours.
After creating your operating hours, you can begin linking new product schedules to benefit from the new features right away.
For a smooth transition for all schedules to operating hours, we suggest starting with one product schedule with a regular schedule that aligns with your venue's open and close times, and has consistent session start times and uniform tickets and resources.
To adopt operating hours:
- Set up your operating hours, including any standard hours and temporary hours for school holidays or closures.
- Choose a regular schedule to update to operating hours first.
- Set an end date for its current schedules.
- Create new schedules for the product using operating hours, starting after the end date of the existing schedules, and link the start and end times to your operating hours.
- Plan a time to migrate all schedules to operating hours, such as when you next need to extend your schedules.

When you first create your standard hours, you can choose to start at a later date. If you do this, we'll set your hours as closed up until your open date. If your opening date changes (we know it happens sometimes!), then you can easily adjust this by editing the prepared standard hours.
We allow you to prepare one change at a time to your standard hours and pick a date when the new hours become active. Simply edit your standard hours, select the option to start on a future date, and save.
