ROLLER POS supports selling through multiple POS devices. A POS device must be configured for each computer terminal in your venue. This article will show you how to create a POS Device in Venue Manager.
Creating a POS device allows you to sell products on-site at your venue. There is a maximum number of POS devices that can be created depending on your subscription.

Overview
To set up a new POS Device, go to Venue Manager > Apps > Point of Sale.
There are two options for creating POS devices:
- Create a POS device from a template - This allows you to configure multiple devices at once and ensures consistency across your devices. We highly recommend this option, reach this guide to see how to set up your POS templates.
- Create a standard POS device - This allows you to configure your POS devices individually. Standard POS devices can't be attached to a template at a later date.
Create a POS device from a template
- Go to Apps > Point of sale (POS) > Templates
- Find the template you wish to create a POS device from and click on the More button and select Create device from template.
- Give your device a Name (e.g. Reception 1, Cafe 1) and add in a starting Till float (optional).
- Click Save.
Create a standard POS device
- Go to Apps > Point of sale (POS) > Devices
- Click New POS device
- Give your device a Name (e.g. Reception 1, Cafe 1) and add in a starting Till float (optional).
- Click Add menu.
- Enter in the Menu name (e.g. Day tickets).
- Select an Icon to help distinguish your menu.
- Use the search bar to type in the name(s) of your products and select any that you want to add to this menu. Click Apply to add these products to the menu.
- Repeat 4. - 7. for any other menus you wish to add to this POS device.
- Click Save.
Editing your POS devices
Remember if you wish to edit the menu for a device which is linked to a template then you will need to edit the menu from within the template, not the individual POS device. Editing the template will then change all of the devices linked to that template.
- If you are editing a POS device which is attached to a template, navigate to Apps > Point of Sale > Templates. If you are editing a standard POS device, navigate to Apps > Point of Sale > Devices.
- Click More next to the template or device you want to edit and select Edit.
- Click the Unlock to edit template button in the top right to start making changes.
- Add new products - Use the search bar to type in the name(s) of your products and select any that you want to add to this menu. Click Apply to save.
- Remove old products - You can remove a product by by clicking on the trash can icon to the right of the product list. To remove a child product, click on the parent product drop-down arrow first and then click on the trash can icon next to the relevant child product.
- Rearrange products - You can rearrange your POS products by dragging and dropping the parent or child products to change how they'll be displayed in POS.
- Rename a menu - Click into the menu you want to rename and edit the name there. You can also select a new icon if required.
- Rearrange menus - You can rearrange your POS menus by dragging and dropping the names in the menu side bar to change the order.
- Click Save.
